1 critically injured, 2 others hurt following crash on Route 31 in Hunterdon County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A crash on Route 31 in Hunterdon county Monday afternoon left one man in critical condition and two others injured, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée Robeson.

The crash happened at around 2:33 p.m. at the intersection of Route 31 southbound and Regional Road in Clinton Township, Robeson said.

A 2008 Jeep Wrangler operated by a 17-year-old female was turning right onto Route 31 southbound from Regional Road when that vehicle collided with a 2012 Jeep Wrangler operated by a 69-year-old male traveling southbound on Route 31, Robeson said.

The female driver and a passenger were transported to Hunterdon Medical Center. The male driver was flown to Morristown Medical Center and is listed in critical condition, Robeson said.

The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Forensic Analysis Collision Team and the Clinton Township Police Department are investigating the crash, Robeson said.
