HOOKED ON FISHING – NOT ON DRUGS!

MORRISTOWN, NJ. On Saturday, June 10, the Morris County Park Police is hosting a youth fishing tournament at Sunrise Lake in Lewis Morris County Park in Morris Township from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. The event is sponsored by New Jersey Fish and Wildlife and is part of their program called, “Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs”. The goal of this nationally recognized program is to encourage children to avoid drug and alcohol usage by providing them with alternative, recreational activities, such as learning to fish and appreciating aquatic and environmental resources, all while gaining positive life skills.

All ages are welcome to participate, however, FREE prizes and giveaways will be given to the first 100 kids and for those only ages 20 and under. The event is FREE and pre-registration is not required. For more information, please visit or NJF&W’s website.
