Hackettstown (Warren County) – Shortly after noon today(2/11/16), the Hackettstown Police and the Hackettstown Fire Department responded to 59 Scenic Ct, where a Warren County Sheriff’s Officer observed smoking coming from the roof of the house.
When the fire department and police arrived on scene, they observed smoke and flames coming from the left side of the house. The first line officer on scene requested a 1st alarm assignment.
There was no one home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported. The fire damage was located in the living room and basement area. There was also water and smoke damage throughout the home. The home has been determined to be uninhabitable.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Hackettstown Detective Bureau and the Warren County Fire Marshal,according to police.
Assisting at the scene was the Hackettstown Fire Police, Hackettstown Rescue Squad, Budd Lake Fire Department, Tri County Fire Company, Independence Twp Fire Department, Washington Boro Fire Department, Mt Olive Twp Fire Marshal, Hackettstown Department of Public Works, Hackettstown Building Inspector, JCP&L and Elizabethtown Gas Company.
