Snow blankets parts of New Jersey (PHOTOS & VIDEO)

Residents in Northwest New Jersey woke up Sunday morning to their first snowfall and its not even winter. Snow accumulations throughout the state varied from a dusting to over 6 inches.

The storm Saturday night began as rain and then changed over to snow throughout parts of New Jersey.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory effective through 6 a.m. Monday for all of New Jersey. Winds will be 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

According to WeatherWorks, today will be mostly cloudy, colder and windy. Flurries or a rain/snow shower possible any time, but especially towards evening. Highs near 40.
