Authorities investigate robbery at Washington Twp. paint store

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Authorities are on the scene of a robbery that occurred at the Sherwin Williams Paint Store, located at 35 Route 46, Sunday morning.

According to radio reports, the suspect allegedly took a cash register from the business and then fled Route 46 east towards Mount Olive Twp.

The vehicle allegedly crashed near the intersection of Route 46 and Joy Dr in Mount Olive Twp. The suspect then fled the scene but was subsequently captured by police, according to radio reports.

There were injuries reported at the crash scene.
