Blairstown Twp. police seek Pa. man wanted for assaulting police officer

BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Police are looking for a Pennsylvania man after he allegedly eluded police and assaulted a police officer on Monday.

Ryan Smithers of Stroudsburg, PA is wanted for eluding and aggravated assault on a police officer, police said.

Smithers fled from a motor vehicle stop on Union Brick and was last seen on foot in the area of Alice Court / Kishpaugh Road. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and grey sweat pants, police said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Blairstown Police at 908-362-8266 and if you see the suspect, police ask that you call 911.
