Long Valley man had heroin, cocaine

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Long Valley man is facing drug charges including possession of heroin and cocaine after a motor vehicle stop on Route 46.

Andrew A. Brown, 27, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain lane.

On September 24, at 4:25 p.m., Officer Gardner was on routine patrol when he observed a 2014 Acura allegedly fail to maintain its lane as it traveled on Route. 46, police said.

Officer Gardner conducted a motor vehicle stop of the Acura in the area of the Days Inn and made contact with the Brown, police said.

Through the course of the investigation, Brown was allegedly found to be in possession of glassine baggies containing suspected heroin, additional plastic baggies containing suspected cocaine residue, and a hypodermic syringe, police said.

Brown was placed under arrest, and transported to police headquarters. He was released pending a court hearing, police said.
