Man found dead at Fort Nonsense in Morris Twp.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A 52-year-old man was found dead Tuesday night in Morristown National Historical Park, according to Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp.

Park Rangers were notified of a possible deceased male in the Fort Nonsense area of the park in Morris Township, Knapp said.

The Cause and Manner of death are pending determination by the Medical Examiner, Knapp said.

This appears to be an “isolated incident” and there is no threat to the community, Knapp said.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded, including the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office – Major Crimes Unit, Morris Township Police, Morristown Police, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office – Criminal Investigation Section and the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office.
