BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Police are looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a burglary and two attempted burglaries in Blairstown Township, according to Blairstown Township Captain Scott Johnsen.
On Thursday at 12:27 p.m., township police were dispatched to the 60 block of Dry Road for a report of suspicious activity, Johnsen said.
The victim stated, upon entering her driveway, she observed a tan Jeep Cherokee parked in the driveway. She then stated their was a man, who was holding a red object, that ran into the woods towards Belcher Road, Johnsen said.
The male is described as wearing a black shirt, approximately 5’08” with dark hair. There was another male in the vehicle that drove away, Johnsen said.
When township officers arrived on scene, they observed signs of forced entry and the home owner discovered a large amount of jewelry missing from the residence, Johnsen said.
Blairstown Det. Bisanizio and the Warren County Prosecutors Office processed the scene and DNA was collected, Johnsen said.
Witnesses in the area stated they observed a tan Jeep Cherokee bearing a temporary NJ license plate being operated by a white, heavy set, male with a thick beard driving recklessly in the area, Johnsen said.
Then at 3:15 p.m., township police were dispatched to another home in the 60 block of Dry Road for the report of a possible attempted burglary with evidence of attempted forced entry to a door. The suspects were not successful in making entry to this location, Johnsen said.
Then at 5:30 p.m., a third unsuccessful attempt was reported on the 100 block of Heller Hill Road, Johnsen said.
