15-year-old charged in Mendham Borough home burglary

MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – A 15-year-old boy is facing multiple charges after he allegedly burglarized a Mendham Borough home last month, police said.

The 15-year-old from Lodi was charged on Wednesday with burglary, theft of movable property, theft of controlled dangerous substance, possession of controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance in a school zone.

The arrest was the result of an investigation into a burglary of a Linden Lane residence on July 25 police said.

The boy, who was a Daytop resident, allegedly stole prescription pills, laptop computers, iPads and a digital camera that totaled $68,00.00, police said.

He was processed and released to the custody of his parents pending a court appearance in Bergen County.
