2 people injured after crash involving tractor-trailer on I-80 in Sussex County (PHOTOS)

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) –  Two people were injured after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 80 in Byram Township Friday night, according to State Police Sergeant Jeff Flynn.

The crash happened eastbound at mile maker 22.9 at 10:20 p.m., Flynn said

A traitor-trailer, driven by Anthony Morlock, 62, of Coloma, MI, was involved in a crash with a Toyota Corolla, Flynn said.

The impact caused the tractor-trailer to crash through a guardrail and then went down an embankment at the Waterloo Road overpass.

Morlock and a passenger in the the tractor-trailer, Matthew Emmert, 49, of Kalamazoo, MI, were taken to Hackettstown Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Flynn said.

All lanes have since been reopened.

The cause of the crash still remains under investigation, Flynn said.
