64-year-old woman struck by hit-and-run driver in Mansfield Twp.

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A driver fled the scene after allegedly hitting a 64-year-old woman walking along the road in Mansfield Twp. Tuesday afternoon.

At around 2:55 p.m., township police were dispatched to Pequest Road on the report of a hit-and-run involving a struck pedestrian, police said.

The female was walking east on Pequest Road when she was struck by a pickup truck traveling west causing her substantial injuries, police said.

The pickup truck continued traveling west on Pequest Road after striking the female, police said.

The female was transported to St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem for treatment of her injuries, police said.

The Mansfield Township Detective Bureau is investigating the accident and if anyone has any information on the hit-and-run vehicle is asked to contact Detective Joseph Mathews at 908-852-0003.
