Atlantic Health System earns spot on Modern Healthcare’s ‘Best Places to Work in Healthcare’ list

Atlantic Health System, a leading provider of health care in New Jersey, has announced it was named number 23 on Modern Healthcare’s 2018 list of the ‘Best Places to Work in Healthcare’ – the first time Atlantic Health System has earned this recognition from the national publication. Atlantic Health System is the only New Jersey-based healthcare delivery system to earn a spot on the list.

The announcement was made at a ceremony in Dallas, Texas, during Modern Healthcare’s Workplace of the Future Conference. Atlantic Health System will also be featured in a special supplement published along with the Oct. 1 issue of Modern Healthcare. This recognition comes on the heels of Fortune Magazine naming Atlantic Health System one of its “100 Best Companies to Work For®,” for the tenth year in a row.

Atlantic Health System includes 16,000 employees, a network of 900 multidisciplinary physicians across the Atlantic Medical Group, six hospitals, multiple outpatient and ancillary facilities, and one of the largest Accountable Care Organizations in the nation. According to Modern Healthcare, Atlantic Health System stands out from other health care delivery systems through its effort to create an empowered and satisfied workforce.

“We are thankful to all of our team members who make Atlantic Health System such a great place to work and have an unwavering dedication to our patients, our communities and each other,” said Nikki Sumpter, Senior Vice President Chief Human Resources Officer, Atlantic Health System. “Together, we have created a culture that is focused on inclusion where every person is accepted and appreciated.”
