Authorities investigating Florham Park bank robbery

FLORHAM PARK, NJ (Morris County) – Authorities are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Monday morning in Florham Park, according to Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Borough of Florham Park Police Chief Joseph Orlando.

Police received a report at around 10:17 a.m. of a bank robbery that occurred at the Bank of America, located at 186 Columbia Turnpike, Knapp said.

A subsequent police investigation has revealed that a male entered the bank branch and demanded money, Knapp said.

Upon exiting the bank, the male fled from the scene, Knapp said.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a black goatee, wearing eyeglasses and a baseball hat. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with black lining and grey colored sweatpants.

Numerous law enforcement agencies have responded and are currently investigating this incident, including the Florham Park Police Department, the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
