Budd Lake store sells $10K Mega Millions ticket

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – There were two winning tickets sold for the Friday, September 28 drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize, according to James Carey, New Jersey Lottery acting executive director.

Those tickets were purchased at the following locations:

  • Budd Lake Shell, located at 35 Route 46 East, in Budd Lake.
  • Dollar Plus, located at 900 East Chestnut Ave., in Vineland.

The winning numbers for the Friday, Sept. 28 drawing were: 39, 45, 52, 56 and 59. The Gold Mega Ball was 15, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.

If those tickets had been purchased with the Megaplier option, the prizes would be multiplied to $30,000.

In addition, 31 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Three of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $1,500. Moreover, 54,704 other New Jersey players took home $209,992 in prizes ranging from $2 to $600, according to Carey.

“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,” said Carey. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”

The next drawing will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2nd at 11:00 pm. All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 pm to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.
