Denville Twp. store sells $100K Jersey Cash 5 ticket

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $100,000 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Sunday, August 26 drawing.

The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is Jay Cee’s, located at 40-42 First Ave, in Denville Township.

The winning numbers were: 11, 23, 33, 34 and 37 and the XTRA number was: 02.

Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Jay Cee’s. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”

Carey announced that there were 241,265 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 25 ticketholders won $680 each and 10 others won $1,360 each with the addition of XTRA. Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 1,287 ticketholders won $17 each and 258 others won $34 each with the addition of XTRA. Lastly 3,022 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
