Dog walker indicted on theft charges

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Hunterdon County woman was indicted on theft and receiving stolen property charges Thursday, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III.

Alexandria Peterson, 23, of Glen Gardner was indicted by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury for two counts of third-degree theft and third-degree receiving stolen property.

According to Kearns, Peterson maintained a dog walking business and often used a Facebook advertisement posted on Lebanon Township Community Forum to promote her service.

Paterson allegedly removed property, with an estimated value of $44,600.00, from a homeowner in Tewksbury Township, while actively engaged in walking the homeowner’s pets.

Peterson will be scheduled for an arraignment.
