Driver injured after rock thrown through car window (PHOTOS)

UPDATE: The suspects have been located and are being charged.

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A driver was injured after a rock was thrown through his driver’s side window Friday afternoon.

According to Amanda Czerwinski, her husband Frank and 5-year-old stepson, were travelling on Overlook Dr., located in The Hills of Independence, when two juveniles allegedly threw a rock through the driver’s side window. Frank suffered a minor injury to his head.

The incident occurred at around 4:05 p.m., Czerwinski said.

After the rock was thrown, the boys ran across the street and jumped the guard rail into the woods headed towards canal Ln. They were possibly seen on Second St in Hackettstown, Czerwinski said.

The boys are between 13 and 17 years old, one was wearing a black or blue Nike shirt and the other was wearing a brown and orange jersey. One boy had brown hair and the other had blonde hair that was short on the sides and longer on top. They were between 5’3” and 5’11”, Czerwinski said.
