Washington Township, NJ (WARREN COUNTY) – Firefighters are on the scene of a 3-alarm building fire at “Keep Wrapping,” located at 14 Brass Castle Road in Washington Township.

Firefighters were called shortly before 8:00 a.m. for an activated fire alarm.

Preliminary reports indicate smoke was visible in the building upon the fire departments arrival. The fire department quickly upgraded the fire to a 1st alarm, eventually escalating to a 3rd alarm, bringing in multiple fire departments from across Warren and Hunterdon Counties.

Shortly after 9 a.m. WRNJ Reporter, Anthony Preziosi, witnessed smoke and flames shooting out of the roof.

Washington Township Police sent out Nixxle alert advising motorists to avoid the Brass Castle / Route 57 intersection.

WRNJ spoke with an employee from Abilities, which is located next door.   “I pulled in and saw the Fire Marshall driving around. The fire alarm was going off. At that point, all you smelled was burning plastic. Then smoke became visible and all of the fire dept. and police came to get everything under control. Everyone was very vigilant and got us out of danger,” recalls the Abilities employee, who wished to remain anonymous.

Initial reports also say the fire was located in the ceiling.
