Hackettstown Community Day draws huge crowds (PHOTOS & VIDEO)

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Despite the overcast skies Saturday, huge crowds turned out for the 12th annual Hackettstown Community Day,

The event, sponsored by the Hackettstown Police Department, Hackettstown Medical Center, Mars Wrigley Confectionery, WRNJ Radio, QuickChek, the House of the Good Shepherd, Marley’s Gotham Grill and Warren Septic Services, was held on the campus of Hackettstown Medical Center, located at 657 Willow Grove St, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Local businesses, non-profit organizations and representatives from many groups were in attendance.

People enjoyed free food from Hackettstown Medical Center, QuickChek, Applebee’s  Neighborhood Grill & Bar and Marley’s Gotham Grill.

Mars Wrigley Confectionery handed out free candy to visitors. Hackettstown Medical Center featured their “Teddy Bear Hospital.” Children were invited to bring their ill or injured stuffed animals for care.

Hackettstown Police Officer Christopher Laver and K-9 Jada gave a K-9 demonstration.

“Community Day is geared toward public awareness of the various non-profit agencies, local businesses, clubs and organizations. The food and giveaways were provided by local businesses, and everything at Community Day is free to the public,” Hackettstown Police Sergeant Darren Tynan said.

Hackettstown’s 2019 Community Day is scheduled for Saturday October 5.
