Hackettstown High School field hockey team wins H/W/S title in overtime

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The Hackettstown High school field hockey team earned a 1-0 overtime victory over the Warren Hills Blue Streaks Saturday afternoon to win the Hunterdon /Warren/Sussex County Tournament in Newton.

Senior Ashley Zellars scored the winning goal with the assist from Senior Madison Hoskins with 8:08 left in overtime.

Junior Sophia Mallozzi had eight saves.

Senior Madison Hoskins was named the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex most outstanding player.

This is the Tigers first Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex title in 13 years.
