Hackettstown man charged with DWI after Mount Olive Twp. crash

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Hackettstown man was charged with driving while under the influence following a car crash in Mount Olive Township.

Patrick Jameson, 27, was charged with charged with DWI, under the influence of CDS, failure to stop and  failure to produce insurance.

On September 20, police responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident on Sand Shore Road at Smithtown Road, police said.

Upon the officer’s arrival, they determined that Jameson, who was the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident, allegedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, police said.

After a police investigation, Jameson was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing where he submitted to chemical breath testing, police said.

Jameson was released to a sober driver pending a court hearing.
