MA man pleads guilty to eluding police

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Alexander Sifuentes, 27, of Springfield pled guilty on Friday to one count of second-degree eluding police, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III.

Sifuentes was arrested on May 25, 2018 on charges resulting from a vehicular pursuit that occurred on March 4, Kearns said.

The pursuit began in I-78 in Hunterdon County and continued into Jersey City and eventually ended in Hoboken, where Sifuentes was able to avoid police apprehension, Kearns said.

Through supplemental investigation and numerous investigative means, the New Jersey State Police, Perryville Station, were able to track Sifuentest to the scene of the events, Kearns said.

Sifuentes was indicted by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury on August 2, Kearns said.

Sifuentes is scheduled to be sentenced on January 4, 2019.
