Man flown to hospital after being hit by lightning in Hunterdon County

KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Kingwood Township resident was flown to the hospital after being struck by lightning Friday afternoon.

At 3:45 p.m. a 42-year-old man was struck by lightning outside his residence on Byram Kingwood Road, according to State Police spokesman Trooper Alejandro Goez.

The man was reported to be conscious and alert when first responders arrived on scene, Goez said.

He was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital. His condition was not immediately clear, Goez said.
