Man gets probation for stealing money from QuickChek safe

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County)A Dover man was sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to a theft charge, according to the Sussex County prosecutor’s office.

Juan Chaname-Millett, 29, was sentenced by the Honorable William J. McGovern III, J.S.C., at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on December 7.

On July 8, Chaname-Millett went into an open safe at QuickChek, located in Hopatcong, and took two bags containing money from the safe. He pled guilty on September 24 to fourth-degree theft.

Chaname-Millet was sentenced to three years probation.
