Man injured, charged with DWI after crashing ATV in Mansfield Twp.

MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Mansfield Township man was injured after he crashed the all-terrain vehicle he was riding on Thomas Road.

Donald W. Roberts, 49, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving while suspended, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle, and four equipment violations.

On Oct. 12 at 8:03 p.m., police responded to Thomas Road on the report of an ATV crash with injuries.

Roberts was allegedly to be heavily intoxicated and suffered head injuries. He was yelling profanities at first responders and became physically aggressive.

Roberts was flown to Morristown Medical Center for treatment and a warrant was obtained to collect a sample of his blood for testing, police said.

Roberts was released at the hospital pending a court appearance.
