Man locks himself in room with guns, threatens to kill family, himself and law enforcement

BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A man was taken into custody by tactical teams after he locked himself in a room with guns Sunday evening, police said.

At around 9:00 p.m., township police and New Jersey State Police responded to a residence on East Crisman Road for a physical domestic dispute with weapons, police said.

While police were responding, they were advised that a mother and son were physically assaulted by a male and he was currently locked in a room upstairs with guns, police said.

“The male also made statements that he would kill the family, himself, and law enforcement,” police said.

Warren County and Hunterton County TAC Teams, and the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office were unable to make contact with the male, police said.

The teams breached the door and the man was taken into custody, police said.

The man was lodged in Warren County Jail. His name was not released.
