ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Somerset man was seriously injured after a crash on Interstate 80 in Rockaway Township Friday afternoon, according to State Police spokesman Trooper Alejandro Goez.

A tractor-trailer driven by Goran Jelic, 37, of Elk Grove Village, IL was disabled in the right shoulder. A Jeep driven by Hussam Oraby, 37, was travelling west in the right shoulder and rear-ended the tractor trailer, Goez said.

Oraby was extricated from his vehicle and was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center. He was later transferred to St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, Goez said.

Jelic was not injured, Goez said.

The right two lanes were closed for six hours, Goez said.

The crash remains under investigation, Goez said.
