N.J. woman gets probation for insurance fraud

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Hunterdon County woman has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to second-degree insurance fraud, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III.

Stefanie Reuter-Hutchins, 30, of Ringoes was sentenced by, the Honorable H. Matthew Curry, JSC on Sept. 27.

Reuter-Hutchins was sentenced to five years’ probation conditioned upon her paying $75,000 to Aetna, 200 hours of community service and obtain a mental health evaluation, Kearns said.

Reuter-Hutchins was arrested on December 28, 2017, after an investigation by the Raritan Township Police Department and Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office investigation revealed that she submitted numerous fraudulent insurance claims to Aetna Insurance Company, Kearns said.
