N.J. woman gets probation for stealing more than $2K worth of pet medication, accessories

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A Toms River woman was sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to shoplifting, prosecutor’s office said.

Tina Piazza, 45, was sentenced before the Honorable William J. McGovern, III, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on August 24.

Piazza admitted to shoplifting pet medication and pet accessories valued at $2,900.00 from Walmart in Hampton Township in March, 2018. She pled guilty on June 26, 2018 to third-degree shoplifting.

Piazza was sentenced to five years probation and must pay all mandatory fines and fees.
