Pa. man facing DWI, drug charges

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Pennsylvania man is facing DWI and drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday morning, state police said.

Timothy Mead, 24, of Scranton was charged with DWI, possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday at 2:22 a.m., Trooper Nicolai Otero stopped Mead for an alleged traffic violation westbound on Interstate 80 at milepost 26 in Mount Olive Township, state police said.

During the stop, Tpr. Otero determined that Mead was under the influence and arrested him for DWI, state police said.

After further investigation, Tpr. Otero discovered that Mead was in possession of heroin, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, state police said.

Mead was released pending a court appearance.
