UPDATE: Dirt biker seriously injured after bike overturns, being struck by ATV in Warren County

KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 36-year-old Pennsylvania man was seriously injured after his dirt bike overturned then was hit by an ATV Sunday evening, according to State Police spokesman Trooper Alejandro Goez.

The crash happened on the property of 495 Route 94 in Knowlton Township, Goez said.

A Bangor, Pa. man was riding his dirt bike when it overturned and then was ejected from the bike. David Talley, 32, of Washington, NJ was riding his ATV near the victim when he struck the dirt bike and then struck the victim, Goez said.

The man sustained serious injuries and was flown to an area hospital. Talley sustained minor injuries and was transported to Newton Medical Center, Goez said.

Both were not wearing helmets, Goez said.

The New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene, Goez said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Goez said.
