Police: Drunk driver hits tree, so drunk friend takes over

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – After an alleged drunk woman slammed her vehicle into a tree, her alleged drunk friend decided to help out by taking behind the wheel and driving the vehicle to another property.

Albra M. Holguinrodriguez, 28, of Paterson, NJ was charged with DWI, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report a motor vehicle crash.

On Sunday, Holguinrodriguez was attempting to leave a rodeo show on Flemington Whitehouse Road when she crashed her car into a tree, police said.

Amado D. Mora-Padilla, 30, of Paterson, NJ then took the same car from the crash scene and drove it to another property on Flemington Whitehouse Road, police said.

Mora-Padilla was charged with DWI.

Both were released and the car was impounded.
