Police searching for driver who fled after hitting juvenile

MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – Mendham Borough police are searching for a driver who hit a juvenile and kept going.

On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6:37 p.m., police responded to a residence on East Main Street for a juvenile that was stuck by a vehicle near Mendham Village Shopping Center, police said in a news release Saturday.

The juvenile was reportedly in the crosswalk on West Main Street at Tempe Wick Road, when the juvenile was struck by an SUV, police said.

During the course of the investigation, police were able to determine that an unknown male and female stopped to help the juvenile. The juvenile was then taken to his residence by the unknown female and dropped off, police said.

“At this time, we have exhausted all possible leads,” police said.
