Trenton man sentenced to 5 years on gun charge

FLEMINGTON, NJ ( Hunterdon County) –  A Trenton man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon without a permit, according t o Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III.

William L. King, age 28, of Trenton, NJ. was sentenced on Friday by the Honorable Angela F. Borkowski, JSC, to five years in state prison.

According to Prosecutor Kearns,  King was arrested on August 27, 2018 after a vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped in Flemington Borough. During the course of the investigation, a hand gun was discovered.

King pled guilty on Spet. 27 to second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon without a permit.
