Two arrested following traffic stop in Greenwich Twp.

GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Two Phillipsburg residents are facing multiple charges following a traffic stop last month in Greenwich Township.

Stephanie P Jean-Jacques, 27, was charged with eluding, obstructing the administration of law, driving while suspended, maintenance of lamps and no insurance on a motor vehicle.

Eric L. Jackson, 26, was charged with obstructing the administration of law, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

On Oct. 29, at around 2:12 p.m., a township officer was conducting traffic enforcement on Route 22 and observed a vehicle with an equipment violation, police said.

The officer then initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle in the Phillipsburg Mall parking lot. She then allegedly attempted to flee but eventually stopped, police said.

The driver was identified as Jean-Jacques and the passenger was identified as Jackson, police said.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Jean-Jacques driver’s license was suspended and she no insurance on the vehicle, police said.

Both were released and had a court appearance on Oct. 30.
