UPDATE: Woman cited in motorcycle crash in Sparta Twp.

SPARTA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Sussex County woman was cited following a motorcycle crash in Sparta Township Thursday evening, according to Detective Sergeant Keith Hannam.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Route 15 and Wilson Dr at 6:37 p.m., Hannam said.

A 2013 Harley Davidson  motorcycle, operated by Richard Keim of Lake Hopatcong, was travelling south on Route 15 when a 2009 Toyota Rav4, operated by Carmen Emery of Highland Lakes, travelling north attempted to make a left hand turn onto Wilson Dr. As Emery was making the turn, Keim crashed into Emery’s  vehicle. The impact caused Keim and his passenger, Chatham Rodriguez Camar of Bushkill, Pa., to be thrown from the motorcycle, Hannam said.

Keim complained of head and neck pain. Camar complained of hip and leg pain. Both were flown to Morristown Medical Center. Emery was not injured in the crash, Hannam said.

Emery was cited for careless driving and failure to yield right of way at an intersection, Hannam said.
