Vehicle overturns in Washington Twp. crash (PHOTOS)

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Two vehicles collided and one of those vehicles overturned on Route 31 South in Washington Township Monday evening.

Police responded shortly after 6:00 p.m. to the crash on Route 31 near Asbury Anderson Road.

A person was reportedly trapped under the overturned vehicle but was then extricated by emergency personnel on location, according to radio reports.

Shortly before this accident occurred, a serious accident about 2 miles north on Route 31 occurred involving a vehicle and pedestrian.

This is the third accident on Route 31 South in five days.

Agencies assisting at the scene were Washington Emergency Squad, Washington Township Fire Department, Glen Gardner Fire Department, Hampton Rescue Squad, and Clinton Emergency Squad.
