Woman airlifted to hospital after falling off four-wheeler

BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 19-year-old Stanhope woman had to be airlifted to the hospital Sunday afternoon after falling off a four-wheeler in Blairstown Township.

The incident was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. on the old railroad tracks behind Balbi Enterprises which is located at 48 Hope Rd.

According to Blairstown Township Police Captain Scott Johnsen, she fell off the back of a four-wheeler that was being driven by her brother.

She sustained a serious back injury and was flown by NorthStar medevac to Morristown Medical Center, Johnsen said.

Also assisting at the scene was Blairstown Hose Company #1, Blairstown Ambulance Corps and St. Clair’s Paramedics.
