Hackettstown woman charged with heroin possession, distribution

FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – An investigation into the alleged distribution of narcotics in Franklin Borough has led to the arrest of a Hackettstown woman, according to Chief Gregory M. Cugliari.

Ashley Womack, 33, was charged with possession of heroin and distribution of heroin.

Police received complaints regarding narcotics distribution and began an investigation, Cugliari said.

Following the investigation, police determined Womack would travel to Franklin and supply individuals with heroin, Cugliari said.

Womack had an undisclosed amount of heroin ready and packaged for sale during the investigation, Cugliari said.

Womack is currently lodged in the Sussex County Jail for violating probation and other related narcotic offenses.

“Investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may follow,” Cugliari said.
