Warren County man charged with DWI, heroin after I-78 crash in Hunterdon County

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Warren County man is facing DWI and drug charges following a motor vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Readington Township, state police said.

John Gaw, 29, of Washington was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminally under the influence, and DWI.

At 12:33 p.m., Trooper Ross Soares responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 78, state police said.

While investigating at the scene, Trooper Soares determined that Gaw was allegedly under the influence and arrested him for DWI. He was also found to be in possession of heroin and illegal prescription drugs, state police said.

Gaw was released pending a court appearance.
