Winning Mega Millions ticket worth $267M sold in Warren County

A single ticket sold in Warren County won the Mega Millions jackpot in the March 1 drawing.

“We are thrilled that the winning ticket was sold in Warren County. I’m happy to congratulate Quick Check #69 of 600 New Brunswick Ave. in Phillipsburg, the retailer that sold this winning ticket,” New Jersey Lottery Acting Executive Director James A Carey, Jr said.

The ticket matched all six numbers drawn Friday night – the white balls 29, 33, 39, 60 and 66, plus the gold Mega Ball 21. The jackpot for the lucky winner is an estimated $267 million ($159.0 million cash).

“We encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket, make a copy of both sides and put it in a safe place, and contact Lottery Headquarters at 609-599-5875 to arrange to file a claim for this “MEGA” jackpot prize,” carey said.

The winner has one year from the date of the drawing to file a claim.

The jackpot had been rolling since it was last won on January 1, when a group of 23 New York co-workers won a $437 million prize.

In this jackpot run there were more than 9.2 million winning tickets at all prize levels, including the March 1 jackpot winner and 21 Match 5 winners of $1 million or more.

The jackpot resets to $40 million ($23.8 million cash) for the next drawing on Tuesday, March 5.
