Two men charged with cocaine possession in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Two Warren County men are facing drug charges for allegedly possessing cocaine Thursday night.

Jason Rake, 36, and Bryan Daken, 26, both of Washington were each charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At around 9:59 p.m., an officer was patrolling the Bea McNally’s parking lot, located at 109 Grand Ave, when the officer observed an occupied vehicle with a rear seat passenger hunched over, police said.

The officer approached the vehicle and the rear passenger was leaning over and had something in his hand. The officer allegedly observed a silver digital scale, with suspected cocaine residue, on the center console and a suspected cocaine rock near the rear passenger’s feet, police said.

The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Rake and Daken. Officers also located inside the vehicle a plastic straw and small plastic Ziploc bags, police said.

Both were lodged in the Warren County Correctional Facility.
