Two promotions at Blairstown Twp. Police Department

BLAIRSTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Two members of the Blairstown Township Police Department have new titles and responsibilities after getting promotions this week.

Detective Bisanzio was promoted from Detective to Detective Corporal. Detective Corporal Bisanzio started with the Blairstown Police Department five years ago as a Class II Special Police Officer and was shortly promoted to a full time Police Officer. Detective Bisanzio has taken on various tasks and assignments such as School Resource Officer, CJIS Coordinator, and has been a Detective for two years.

Captain Johnsen was promoted from Captain to Chief of Police. Chief Johnsen started with the Blairstown Police Department over ten years ago. Chief Johnsen started with the patrol division and was promoted to various leadership positions.

“We believe that these promotions will continue to help properly structure the department which can then better serve the community. We would also like to thank the Blairstown Township Committee and the public for all the support we have received,” police said.
