On a Wednesday edition of the RNJ Morning Program, Carol Cote to talk about – and show Morning Mike – Chronic Soft Tissue Pain, and how it can be treated through physical therapy. Carol Cote is the President and Director North Jersey Physical Therapy Associates, with offices in Hackettstown and Morristown. Carol explained that pain changes how the muscles work because of inhibited reflexes. Pain makes muscles sleepy and uncooperative. By design, all painful conditions have a soft-tissue component. Medications will block feeling the pain – but the condition which causes the pain persists. Physical therapy will recognize and correct the faulty neuromuscular responses caused by unique manual and neuromuscular pain. These include tendonitis, bursitis, and myofascial pain.
Carol Cote has years of experience in Physical Therapy, and North Jersey Physical Therapy Associates was the first PT office in the Hackettstown area (open since 1989). North Jersey Physical Therapy Associates is located at 490 Schooley’s Mountain Road, Suite 3B in Hackettstown (that’s Hastings Commons).
