On Wednesday, Morning Mike welcomed Joaquin Puig, owner of The Sizzle BBQ in downtown Hackettstown, to the RNJ Morning Program. Mike started off by telling Joaquin how much the RNJ staff enjoys the food from The Sizzle BBQ. The day before, the staff filled up on empanadas, grilled chicken, and sides. Joaquin mentioned that the empanadas – all hand made by his mother, Maria – have become a favorite at the restaurant. It truly is a family affair, and he noted that his father, Ed, is the man behind all the charcoal grilling at the restaurant.
Joaquin also noted that the restaurant, at 268 Main Street (in the building where Leo’s Lunch used to be) has a room in the back for private parties. Decorated in the same style as the restaurant, it holds up to 35 people. Once the weather warms up, they will also open a patio dining area. Besides all this news, Joaquin said that The Sizzle BBQ will soon be working with Czigmeister Brewing in Hackettstown, with food at some of their special events.
Finally, Joaquin noted that The Sizzle BBQ is looking for servers to join their staff. You can learn more about this – and all that The Sizzle BBQ has to offer – by calling 908-850-6000, or visiting thesizzlebbq.com.
