Fight outside Hackettstown pub leads to three arrests

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) – Three men were arrested following a fight outside a Hackettstown pub Friday morning.

At 2:01 a.m., a police officer was patrolling Bea McNally’s parking lot, when the officer observed two people involved in a physical altercation. The men were later identified as Michael Dill, 26, of Independence Twp, NJ and Jake Tufano, 24, of Pompano Beach, FL.

Police said a taxi was contacted to pick up Tufano and some friends. Dill then approached the car, driven by Kevin McKenna, 27 of Hackettstown, NJ, and started to make comments to the females inside the vehicle.

Tufano ‘didn’t like’ what was being said by Dill and then Tufano punched Dill in the face, police said.

While Dill was pulling out his wallet, to provide the officer with identification, a small baggy containing suspected cocaine fell out from the wallet, police said.

McKenna was arrested on a $600.00 Paterson municipal court criminal warrant and was released on the warrant pending a court appearance.

Tufano was charged with disorderly conduct and was released pending a court appearance.

Dill was charged with possession of cocaine and two counts of disorderly conduct. Dill was released pending a court appearance.
