Five years later, police still on the hunt for the killer of Kenvil Diner owner

ROXBURY TWP, N.J. (Morris County) – The search for the killer of Kenvil Diner owner Chafic “Steve” Ezzeddine continues five years after his slaying inside the eatery, with a reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible has now doubled from $25,000 to $50,000.

Over the course of the last five years, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Roxbury Police have worked with numerous law enforcement agencies on the investigation of this crime. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office is again asking for the public’s assistance.

It was five years ago today, back on Saturday, May 28, 2011, in the middle of Memorial Day weekend, Ezzeddine was found murdered inside the Diner, located on Route 46 in the Kenvil section of Roxbury Twp, according to authorities.

The Ezzeddine family continues to deeply mourn this horrific tragedy and the loss of their loved one.The Ezzeddine family, in coordination with friends and family, have increased the reward leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for the murder of their patriarch.

“Five years later, multiple law enforcement agencies remain committed to actively pursuing any and all information that may lead to an arrest.Those agencies include the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office, New Jersey State Police, New York City Police Department, New York City Medical Examiner’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the United States Secret Service,” the release said.
