MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Budd Lake man has been charged after he was caught on surveillance video allegedly stealing from a Cystic Fibrosis donation jar.

Barry L. Labar, 54, was charged with theft of movable property, police said.

Township police responded on Tuesday at 2:49 p.m. to Kennedy’s Pub, located at 110 Route 46, for the report of a theft, police said.

The manager of Kennedy’s Pub advised the officer that he noticed that a twenty dollar bill was discovered missing from the cystic fibrosis donation jar located on the bar, police said.

A check of the surveillance cameras showed an employee, identified as Labar moving the jar from the camera view, and then returning the jar a few minutes later, police said.
