Hackettstown’s Halloween parade is Saturday, brings road closures

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Get your costume finished – this Saturday, October 28 is the highly-anticipated 4th annual Hackettstown Halloween Downtown Parade and Trick or Treating.

Even if you’re not participating, you should be aware of the road closures.

Starting at 2:00 p.m., West Moore St will be closed between Washington St and Route 46, police said.

Starting at 3:00 p.m., Church St will be closed between Jefferson St and Route 46, police said

People interested in watching the parade can utilize the sidewalks along Church St, police said

Church St will open at approximately 3:30 p.m. and West Moore St will open at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The parade line up starts at 2:30 p.m. and the parade begins at 3:00 p.m. at Centenary University, loc

The parade will proceed down Church St, a left onto Main St (using the sidewalk) and ends at the Main St Gazebo, where Mars Wrigley Confectionery candy will be handed out. Participants will then be able to trick or treat at the downtown businesses.

There will be a prize given out for the best costume for each of the following groups: Infant-3yrs old, 4yrs old-6yrs old, 7yrs old-10yrs old and Best Pet Costume – Any Age

The event is sponsored by: Hackettstown Police Department, Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S., Centenary University, Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) and Atlantic Health System/Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center.
